Yau Oi Village and On Ting Village
Yau Oi Village and On Ting Village are located in the middle of Tuen Mun New Town. Construction started at the same time in 1977 and was completed in 1980-1981. They are important housing estates in the early development of Tuen Mun New Town. Yau Oi Village has 11 buildings with twin towers, old long type, double I-shaped and three connected I-shaped designs, while On Ting Village has 6 buildings with double I-shaped and old long type designs. The two villages were built on the reclamation area of Ching Shan Bay and once faced land subsidence problems, witnessing the development process of Hong Kong's new towns.
