Choi Yuen Village is located at 8 Choi Yuen Road, Sheung Shui. It was completed between 1981 and 1983. It has 6 buildings in the old long and triple H-shaped design. It is the first public housing estate in the North District with a population of about 12,178. The original site was the farmland of Choi Yuen Village. "Cai Yuen Village" and "Cai Yuen Village" are similar in pronunciation. It is close to Sheung Shui Station and Landmark North Shopping Center, with convenient transportation. It has witnessed the development of Fanling/Sheung Shui New Town and is an important public housing milestone in the northern New Territories of Hong Kong.
