Located on Lek Yuen Street in Shatin District, Lek Yuen Village was completed in 1975 and is the first public housing estate in Shatin. It consists of 7 old long buildings, including Fok Hoi House, Fu Yu House, Kwai Wo House, Lok Chuen House, Shou Chuen House, Wah Fung House and Wing Shui House. The names of the buildings are auspicious words of "Prosperity, Wealth, Fortune, Fortune, Longevity and Happiness". The most distinctive feature is the classic flower-shaped fountain in Shou Chuen House, which bears witness to the development of Shatin New Town.
